Rice Porridge: A savoury, soft and delicious Chinese style rice porridge with pumpkin. As I told about my Chinese friend in the previous post. She introduced me to this simple yet comforting porridge.Whenever her son would get sick or even tired she would make this porridge with either pumpkin or sweet potato. She told me how they eat only porridge , no meat or any fat whenever they are sick. Of course, the porridge is always followed by herbal green teas to balance the food and cleansing the body.

Kuttu Aloo Bonda or Falaari Aloo Bonda: Delicious crispy fried aloo bonda made with gluten-free buckwheat flour. This bonda are a must during Navratri fasting in my family. If I do not make them my elder one starts asking when are you going to make those "gol gol" something?? So even if I think of not making deep fried foods in fasting I would be forced to make this aloo bonda.
Falaari Paratha: A gluten free aloo paratha made with tapioca flour and some mild spices. As I told in my previous post that we do not get much variety of fasting flours here. Yesterday while doing grocery shopping in Asian shop I found Tapioca Flour in the flours section. I picked one pack without much thinking as I knew that I could definitely make something from it that will give the family a break from Buckwheat flour that they have been eating since last five days.
